What is SERU?
(Safety, Equality, Regulatory Understanding)
SERU stands for Safety, Equality and Regulatory Understanding. TFL SERU Assessment Training is computer-based and it is delivered by TFL at their test center’s. This assessment will involve multiple-choice questions, drag and drop questions (completing sentences by adding missing words) and reading & understanding questions.
On 5th October 2021 TFL announced that people applying for a PHV driver licence will have to take a Safety, Equality and Regulatory Understanding (SERU) Assessment in addition to the Topographical Assessment.

Requirements
Students who intend to enrol in this SERU Training course must meet the following requirements:
- Good command of the English language
- Must be vivacious and self-driven
- Basic computer knowledge
- A minimum of 16 years of age is required
